Djokovic mentioned that being in number one spot is the pinnacle of the sport and it was challenging and definitely a difficult one to maintain and to be on this spot, you need to be unfailingly healthy and effective. Djokovic got his trophy and US$1.92 million cheque but in point of fact this is not the way he likes to win as he feels sorry for Roger. He has been a great competitor and always gives his 101 percent when playing. “I’m not the kind of player to celebrate these wins, but I have to celebrate the whole season and this trophy is the crown on the season,” he added. He laso said “I believe everything happens for a reason. So I’m here for a reason, and I managed to finish the year as No. 1 for a reason,”
