*SWINGING VOLLEY* | How The (Swinging Volley) Will Transform Your Game

The swinging volley is not a new shot to the game of tennis. Look back at matches of John Mcenroe, and you will see him hitting swinging volleys. Now you might be telling yourself…. “my coach told me to NEVER swing at volleys”.

I will be honest with you….The swinging volley is not a beginner stroke. The swinging volley is a stroke that will help you take your game to the next level. Next time watching Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal, look for them to hit swinging volleys off of big forehands.

*SLICE BACKHAND* | Why The Traditional (Slice Backhand) Is Messing You Up

The slice backhand is a shot that few have mastered. If you watch Federer, Nadal, Djokovic or any top player, you are going to see them swing across their bodies instead of out towards the target on the slice backhand. When hitting the slice backhand, try and get more of the inside of the ball.

Getting inside the ball on the slice backhand will help you control the ball and keep it low against your opponent.
Next time you try to hit your slice backhand, try and swing across your body and get the inside of the ball.

RAFAEL NADAL | How Nadal Transitions From Clay To Grass

Rafael Nadal stays back on the return of serve and uses his buggy whip forehand to generate tons of topspin to get the ball to jump up on his opponent. When Rafael Nadal plays in Wimbledon, you will see Nadal stand closer to the baseline to take the return of serve. This allows Nadal to drive the ball on the grass. While you are watching Wimbledon this year see if you can notice Rafael Nadal standing closer to the baseline on the return of serve.

TENNIS TRAINING | Pro Tennis Player Comes To Train With Jeff

Michael Rubin, an ATP professional men’s tennis player, flew into Denver, CO to train with me for a 5 days. Michael has reached heights of 800 in the world. I’m sure you can only imagine what would happen if a player is told something wrong but then incorporates it into his tennis training. That player is probably not going to reach the level of success that they could if they had the correct tennis training.

Michael and I hit the ground running and got to work right away. With the things that we went over, Michael can now go home and improve his tennis training. Efficient tennis training is a essential part to be successful as a player. If you are not training correctly for tennis, then you will never reach the potential that you desire.

*TENNIS VOLLEY* | Tennis (Forehand Volley) And Pat Rafter

Today we are talking about the tennis volley. Next time try and get your actual head as close to your racquet head when you make contact on the tennis volley. Pat Rafter did this and so did Pete Sampras. Two of the greatest serve and volley players.
Try and keep your two heads closer together on the tennis volley and you will improve your feel and control.

*TENNIS FOREHAND* | How To Swing Across The Body On The (TENNIS FOREHAND)

The problem with swinging low to high on the tennis forehand is when you get pulled out wide.
It is going to be more natural for you to swing across your body on the tennis forehand on wider balls.
What happens when you do not have time to set your feet and step in on the tennis forehand?

The key is to finish with space when you swing across the body. Make sure the swing arm is not up against the body at the end of the tennis forehand. Try catching the racquet away from the body to help create the space needed for this certain tennis forehand.
