Training your body to be faster and more agile around the court can pay huge dividends for your tennis game! In this video I demonstrate a great drill that you can do either on or off a tennis court to improve your tennis specific movement. Not only will you improve your straight line speed but other types of footwork like baseline recovery shuffles and overhead positioning cross over steps are targeted as well.

*SLICE BACKHAND* | Why The Traditional (Slice Backhand) Is Messing You Up

The slice backhand is a shot that few have mastered. If you watch Federer, Nadal, Djokovic or any top player, you are going to see them swing across their bodies instead of out towards the target on the slice backhand. When hitting the slice backhand, try and get more of the inside of the ball.

Getting inside the ball on the slice backhand will help you control the ball and keep it low against your opponent.
Next time you try to hit your slice backhand, try and swing across your body and get the inside of the ball.

RAFAEL NADAL | How Nadal Transitions From Clay To Grass

Rafael Nadal stays back on the return of serve and uses his buggy whip forehand to generate tons of topspin to get the ball to jump up on his opponent. When Rafael Nadal plays in Wimbledon, you will see Nadal stand closer to the baseline to take the return of serve. This allows Nadal to drive the ball on the grass. While you are watching Wimbledon this year see if you can notice Rafael Nadal standing closer to the baseline on the return of serve.
