The marvelous number one seed Caroline Wozniacki got her victory in just a period of time. To be exact it was sixty seven minutes only. She can’t believe it but it is her fate today! Wozniacki thrashes Roberta Vinci with 6-1, 6-1 scores to win Istanbul WTA final and settle her first title of the year. She indeed showed her strong side, show no fear and defeated Vinci.  Wozniacki cited ”I served well and pushed her around the court,” at the hard-court Koza World of Sport Complex. In addition, Caroline Wozniacki mentioned  “I am happy to have won my 22nd WTA title — It is a great feeling!”

In Vinci interview she stated that tried to play aggressively like always, but made a lot of mistakes,”  “It is hard to play like that next to Caroline for the reason that she puts everything back in the court and it was tough for me to stay in the rallies today, but I’m happy with my week as well as Caroline just played much better than me.”

Wozniacki, ranked 15th in the world, now has an impressive haul of 22 WTA titles and will continue to perform marvelously and will make her fans prouder.

The marvelous Andy Murray winning styles strikes back again in Wimbledon. The champion advanced to quarterfinals by winning against Kevin Anderson with 6-4, 6-3, 7-6 (6) score. Murray needs one more round to meet and play against Novak Djokovic. He said all the matches are tough and everyone in the quarterfinals are playing top tennis. Andy needs to focus and gives his 200% for his challengers to get tense and have a hard time to take home the victory.

“Some days you get lucky with that,” Murray said. “Some days you don’t. You pretty much guess a lot of the time. Sometimes you go the wrong way and sometimes you go the right way, and thankfully today I picked a few good ones.”

This is the seventh time that Murray overcame the gentle giant’s serve and tactics to get to the Wimbledon quarter-finals.  Anderson wins the game as Murray hits a backhand longer while the Scot dare the call but it was only a waste of time.Indeed Murray is a very tough player and the opponent failed to win over him even if he did his best too.

The rain is teeming down outside and  Andy Murray’s fans were under umbrella while watching their hero win. They did not leave him  even if it rained and supported Murray all the way.

Serena Williams and Venus Loses

Seems like it is not their lucky day on this particular afternoon and fate is going away while Williams was beaten with 6-2, 6-2 score competing with Garbine Muguruza of Spain. They expected too much but even if they tried their very hard in the battle “nothing really worked” said Williams. Who would have thought that they will exit very early? Usually they find a way to turn everything on their side however this time they are just human being. For sure their fans are dismayed and all shocked because this is not so Williams! This is the first time that the top two seeded females have defeated prior to third round of a Grand Slam.

Serena owns 17 titles whereas Muguruza is only playing in her 13th slam match. On top of that Serena got 54-2 for three seasons while Garbine Muguruza got 1-1 only at the French Open. Actually the twenty year old Muguruza idolizes Serena and she stated that she once dreamt of playing against Serena Williams and finally that came true and she was very proud of herself and thought that she did great on their match.

Serena said Garbine Muguruza played smart and I can’t figure out how to get going and serve. At the end of the day, lives goes on and just think that every day is not Christmas so better luck next time Williams.

 

Novak Djokovic beats Rafael Nadal to win Italian Open in Rome

World No. 2 and the man of tennis, Novak Djokovic won over Rafael Nadal with 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, as they met for the 41st time in the final of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia in two hours and 19 minutes. Rafael Nadal recovered his score through closing, did the best and tried to take home the victory but luck was not for him as Djokovic rules the match. It is the first time for Rafael Nadal since 2004 has lost more than two matches on clay.

Djokovic proved that he is stronger and unbeatable. Djokovic said in an interview “It’s a special moment to win this tournament. “I want to thank my team who are always close to me and give me tons of support throughout my career. None of this would be possible without them. “I’ve really appreciated the chance to play here over the years and this final was an incredible challenge. I hope to return next year, see you again.” This is indeed a start of luck and positive views after the depressing news where thirty five were dead in the severe flooding in their country.

Sharapova victorious in Stuttgart

Twenty seven year old Russian and sixth seed Maria Sharapova improve her record in Stuttgart to 13-0 as she defeated former number one, Ana Ivanovic with a 3-6, 6-4, and 6-1. This is her third consecutive Porsche Grand Prix tennis title. During first half of the game Sharapova thought it’s not her day but as the game goes on, she made a way to turn luck on her. If truth be told, Maria said she had a hard time reading Ana’s mind and her game tactics but in the end, she was able to lost Ivanovic’s focus and accomplished the game.

She said after her shoulder injury she finally found herself and she is back on track with her comeback which made her fans blissful. With different experiences throughout her career, she is proud that she is getting better, exerted efforts and making every tournament special by using different techniques.

Luckily, this is Sharapova’s first victory of the year, thirtieth title of her career and will remain undefeated in Stuttgart. Maria Sharapova is unquestionably happy with her win and she is so glad that she’s able to do that in Germany. It may be a tough year for her but fortunately blessing is coming to her and endlessly pouring. Congratulations Maria!

Who Will Win Monte Carlo?

The ultimate battle will begin again in the tennis court and fans of these top Tennis players – Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic are all thrilled to witness the game. Monte Carlo is the place to be as it is the first stop of the European clay-court season and longtime watchtower to Nadal’s Roland Garros fortress and will run in the next two months. But then again on this tournament, Djokovic comes in as the defending titleholder and a three-match winning streak as opposed to Nadal.

We all know that Djokovic has been chasing Federer and Nadal for the victory since 2011 and up to the present, he is the most consistent tennis player. If you remember, Djokovic has won three straights over Rafa and picked up four Masters 1000 titles but undeniably Nadal has his own tactic also to get his hands on the title. Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova face off for Miami Final Rematch

Finally it is all set on Thursday in Miami! Serena Williams will have a rematch with Maria Sharapova. This is very challenging for Sharapova as she has not defeated yet the American for almost a decade and now is her chance to prove what she really has. Sharapova knew that Williams is so powerful and plays with so much confidence. She is indeed a big threat for her but there is no reason to stop. Sharapova knew she can beat her and get the victory!

However, after Sharapova’s 14 consecutive lost matches in the rivalry, she gained her big-match confidence after defeating Petra Kvitova with scores, 7-5, 6-1. Williams also said, “I felt much better today than in a few of my other matches here,” “Knowing I was going to play a Top 10 player, I knew I had to come out and play really well tonight. And I did play well.” “When you’re facing a top-10 player, you have to lift your game, that’s what I was able to do.”

Roger Federer defeats Novak Djokovic

The aggressive thirty two year old Roger Federer finally reached the final of Dubai Open when he defeated Novak Djokovic with scores 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 on Friday. Djokovic quote ”He deserved to win, he played in the second part of the match better and was more aggressive and played all around the court really well.” At some point in first set of the competition, Djokovic thought that it is his lucky day until Roger Federer started to be more ecstatic and give marvelous shots in addition to coming to the net frequently which Novak could not handle.

The remarkable Roger Federer got the victory in one hour and fifty minutes.The crowd was very happy and it makes Federer to be more aggressive in his performance “For some reason I had a tough start but the crowd kept pushing me on and I played well.It’s a quick court so I am always trying to be aggressive.”  He also added ”For me it was just a matter of playing consistent, but remains aggressive. The match gives Roger Federer confidence and for him everything starts to fall into right places.

Roger Federer will be looking for his sixth Dubai title when he plays third-seeded Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic in Saturday’s final.
